This Thursday was World Philosophy Day, so declared by UNESCO.  Before getting too exited about that fact, remember that UNESCO is the cultural wing of the United Nations.  They it was who declared 2008 the International Year of the Potato. So, Philosophy has, internationally speaking, 0.3% of the importance of root veg.

Now that I think about it, that actually sounds about right.
